AGENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Agent's position generally reports directly to a Manager and is responsible
for generating new sales volume for the company within the state or states where
he/she is appointed. An agent is responsible for scheduling his/her own work
hours and is responsible for all of his/her own expenses. Compensation is
through first year commission and renewals. Advances may be available to
qualifying agents. An Agent's primary objective should be to market the
CropUSA product portfolio to farmers and ranchers, and to simultaneously obtain
association and cooperative membership enrollment.

CropUSA is a property and casualty insurance agency that was formed to penetrate
the federal crop insurance market by leveraging 45+ state and national association
relationships through its sister company, AIA Insurance, Inc. Both companies
are headquartered in Lewiston, Idaho, and have over 30 years of agency experience
working with farmers in over 30 states.
AGENTS SHOULD STRIVE TO
- Solicit association and co-op memberships
- Schedule appointments by telephone or in person
- Present products and benefits
- Use approved, current sales literature and sales tools which are provided by CropUSA
- Close sales and submit business appropriate companies
- Solicit association memberships
- Obtain referrals
- Travel within assigned geographical area and be available for overnight stays if necessary
- Submit required reports to Manager in a timely manner
- Attend meetings as required by Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven sales experience in the crop insurance industry or a related field
- Familiarity with crop insurance and associated compliance and regulatory issues
- Superior grasp of advanced marketing techniques and concepts
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Strong administrative skill and computer literacy
- Optimistic and career oriented with a natural ability to converse in a variety of complex situations
- Team player capable of adapting to change, showing flexibility and desire for advancement
- A self-starter who requires minimal supervision
- Appropriate state insurance licenses or ability to obtain necessary licensure
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An acceptable driving record and automobile insurance with a "business use" endorsement and personal liability insurance

Area Manager
OPPORTUNITY
Openings in South Dakota, and Nebraska, Texas and Indiana.
CropUSA Insurance Agency (CropUSA) is seeking an experienced Health and/or Long Term Care insurance sales professional to act as our area manager in the areas detailed above. The candidate selected will be involved in personal sales, as well as assisting local agencies in their sales and marketing efforts.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CropUSA enjoys the sponsorship and support of the Nebraska Wheat Growers Association, the South Dakota Wheat Growers as well as other state associations. As the area manager, in order to create product awareness and lead opportunities with the ultimate purpose of generating sales, you will coordinate mailings and marketing activities with the local office of the association. You will also work with contracted agencies throughout the states listed above who have blocks of farm customers to cross-sell health and/or Long Term Care insurance policies endorsed by the association.
REQUIREMENTS
We require a highly motivated individual who is interested in building a large block of business over the next 2-3 years in the insurance marketplace as an individual producer, and through our contracted agencies. You must be willing to invest your time and energy to make this a profitable opportunity. You must be insurance licensed for life and health, have reliable transportation, and be able to effectively communicate our message to others.
MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY
CropUSA maintains a Regional management structure throughout the country. After a successful track record as an area manager, you may be eligible to apply for this position.
COMPENSATION
The compensation for this position has been primarily comprised of commission from personal sales, overrides from assisting with agency sales, and renewal income. CropUSA may be willing to finance the right candidate with a small monthly allowance in addition to the above compensation during a start up period.
